About Project Purr Project Purr has a FERAL cat low cost spay/neuter Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program for residents of Santa Cruz County, California available at Soquel Creek Veterinary Hospital 831/476-1515. Project Purr is a resource for FERAL cat colony caretakers and those who want to learn more about TNR or implement TNR programs. Project Purr is not an animal shelter or cat adoption agency - although Project Purr does sometimes have cats/kittens available for adoption.. Contacting Project Purr NOTE: WE ARE NOT A HOTLINE SERVICE- if you have an animal emergency, call Santa Cruz County Animal Services at 831.454.7303…or Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital at 831.475.5400. Due to the lack of enough funding Project Purr has no shelter facility. We foster as many cats/kittens in our own homes as space and time allows - usually these are cats we have trapped and rescued ourselves. Trapping Adoptions All cats have been tested for FELV and FIV, have current vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. A donation of $125. for kittens and $95. for cats (sometimes less) is requested at the time of adoption.
